COPYRIGHT CONCERNS

Project NoSpank is the Web site of Parents and Teachers Against Violence in Education, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in California in 1985. Since this Web site's introduction in 1996, it has served primarily as an educational archive/resource for academicians, education policymakers, lawmakers, researchers, authors, journalists and legal professionals, although anyone may freely access the collection. Currently there are approximately 1,400 newspaper articles on the site, and numerous additional magazine and journal articles and book excerpts. The collection is augmented continually. It is our policy to cite author's name, name of publication, and date of publication with regard to every item. Since the appearance of an article on our site occurs only after its original publication, our usage does not detract from its commercial value to its originator. We believe our activity is covered by the Fair Usage Doctrine -- an interpretation that seems to be widely held within the industry. Publishers' and authors' complaints to us have been extremely rare. When we hear from them, it's usually to offer us materials for inclusion here.

If you are the author or publisher of materials we've included in our collection, and you believe that such usage infringes your rights or inconveniences you in any way, please contact us. We will remove those materials promptly.
