A 40-year-old man faces criminal sexual conduct charges in Clay County District Court. Ronald D. Van Voorhees, listed in court documents as having no permanent address, is charged with two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of malicious punishment of a child.

According to court complaints, Van Voorhees had sexual contact with a girl under the age of 13 between September 1997 and April 1998 at an apartment in Dilworth where he was living at the time. In another case, Van Voorhees is accused of having sexual contact with a girl under the age of 10 at his home in Dilworth between Feb. 1 and April 15 of this year.

In the latter case, Van Voorhees is also accused of spanking the girl with a belt five times and of punching her twice in the shoulder.
