MONTREAL - A former Montreal high school vice-principal has been sentenced to 40 months in jail on child pornography charges. David Wadsworth will be given credit for time already served, meaning he will actually spend almost 29 months behind bars. After that, he will be under strict supervision for 10 years. Wadsworth had pleaded guilty to one charge each of possession, distribution and production of child pornography. The last charge referred to a letter that he'd written to a friend from jail in which he detailed a spanking fantasy involving a 10-year-old boy. Wadsworth, a three-time offender, showed no emotion as Quebec court judge Suzanne Coupal read the sentence. The most recent charges against Wadsworth stem from incidents in 2007 and 2008.
