Police Officer Pleads Guilty In Spanking

Reuters (LAWRENCE)-- A 12-year veteran of the Lawrence Police Department has been sentenced to a year of probation for spanking his teenaged daughter. Officer James Miller pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery. Miller has been on paid administrative leave from the department since his arrest in mid-August. City officials say no decision has been made regarding Miller's future with the department.
