I want you to know that it is precisely because I have this particular kink that I wholeheartedly support your efforts. What follows is a copy of a message I posted recently on an iVillage.com forum where parents were debating about spanking their kids. It's not very...er...polished, because frankly I was just so pissed off at people's blindness to the obvious.

WAKE UP, IDIOTS, SPANKING IS SEXUAL!

Will you people please open your eyes. Check out the Internet. Do a Google search for "spanking" and see what you get: a million SEX sites. Or try Usenet. You will read posts from thousands of people who are "into" spanking for SEXUAL GRATIFICATION. Please take a look at _______ or _______ or any number of other newsgroups and websites devoted to SPANKING-RELATED EROTICA.

What does a heterosexual man look at when a woman leaves the room? DUH! Her butt, what else? And women check out guys' butts in a sexual context. And perhaps most obvious of all is the gay man's attraction to another man's butt. The butt is by far the sexiest part of the human body. That's why they call sex A PIECE OF ***ASS*** and not a piece of breast, leg, or genitalia.

As someone who did not choose to have this particular VERY COMMON sexual "kink", I would NEVER spank a child because to me the act has obvious sexual connotations. How can anyone, even a "vanilla" (term used by "spankos" to describe non-spankos) not see that? How can you advocate such an activity for use on children, knowing full well that there are many, many people out there who get off on it? Most of whom, granted, are otherwise perfectly nice and "normal" people. But you never know...that teacher at your school who paddles little boys? Could he be C_____ or T_______ or any one of the many authors who enjoy posting their fantasies about young boys getting bare-bottom whippings?

This is not meant as an accusation against such authors. Having a fantasy is NOT the same as wanting or doing it in real life, and writing fiction is not a crime. I bring up these examples only to show you how very common this particular kink is and to urge you not to be so freaking naive.

YOUR KID'S ASS IS ON THE LINE.

Don't teach your child that his or her bottom is available for abuse by adults. Isn't that just asking for trouble?
